We transfer out to explore a complex of temple, containing Phnom Sambok and Kampi, which boast the major sights in this region. A view over the surrounding area from the temple is impressive. There are some 10 km of beach stretching the whole length of the town and dozens of small islands just a short boat ride away, which make for a perfect tropical getaway, with facilities for swimming, snorkeling or scuba diving..
The overland expedition begins as we depart the town and pass through Cambodia’s biggest growing rubber area to Kampong Cham. The deep contrast of lush vegetation and red surface of basaltic soil is incredible all along the way.
Visit Kbal Spean, distance is 49km from Siem Reap Town and it is literally means "The head of the River.” It is one of the rivers in 1000 lingas that made up of unique lingas. Lingas stands into the riverbed of the Siem Reap River. It was believed that the lingas spiritually "fertilized” the waters that fed the Eastern bay and irrigated the rice fields
