Detailed Itinerary:
DAY1: Hanoi - Sapa (Depart Monday)
Transfer to the train station in Hanoi for your overnight train to Sapa, the Train leaves at 22.00 PM tonight.
Day 2: Sapa - Tam Duong - Ban Hon
Early in the morning we arrive to Lao Cai Train Station. Meet our tour guide and trasfer to the hotel in Sapa.You will start early heading uphill to Tram Ton Pass by car, where you will make a stop and enjoy the views from atop the pass. From there, you will then drive downhill on the zigzag mountain paved road to Tam Duong. Upon arrival in Tam Duong, the car turn into a dirt road which leads to Duy Phong, where the walk start. You will follow tea fields to a viewpoint from where you have a fantastic view down to the valley. The area you are walking in this morning is a wide valley, spotted with limestone hills wherever you look. You will pass through several villages of Flower Hmong and Giay minorities where you can stop for lunch in local house.
After lunch you continue towards the village of Ban Giang, which is around 1.5 hours away. The Giay people also inhabit Ban Giang. You will then follow a small but good trail to the Lu village of Ban Hon, where you will stay overnight in a local house. You will enjoy dinner in the house, and taste, together with the family of the house, how rice wine tastes in this area of Vietnam.
Approx: 2 hour driving/ 5 hours trekking/ 1 hour lunch.
Day 3: Ban Hon - Binh Lu - Sapa
You wake up to the sound of pigs, chickens and dogs. The family is already preparing for today’s work. Today’s walk will be a few hours shorter than yesterday, passing some other Giay and Lu ethnic minority villages, but still the surrounding landscape will be magnificent.
After having lunch at a beautiful spot next to a small river, you will arrive in Binh Lu, where the car is waiting to transfer you back to Sapa. You will have the opportunity to have a break at the famous Heavens Gate and Silver Waterfall, before arriving in Sapa in the afternoon. In the evening will be a car transfer to Lao Cai railway station for a train to Hanoi
Approx: 2 hour driving/ 3 hours trekking/ 1 hour lunch.
DAY4: Departure Hanoi
Early in the morning pick up at Hanoi railway station, have breakfast before transfer to your hotel in Hanoi, End of service.

++ Travel insurance
Travel insurance is compulsory for all tours. All clients MUST be insured to cover personal accident, medical expenses, cancellation, curtailment and repatriation. It is also very important that your insurance policy is relevant to the Vietnam Pathfinder style of travel. Vietnam Pathfinder offers a specially negotiated insurance policy specifically tailored to adventure travel. As well as providing substantial cover for medical emergency, cancellation and curtailment, personal luggage, money and valuables and legal expenses, this insurance will also provide cover for the adventure activities you may choose to undertake whilst on tour.
No client will be allowed on tours without suitable insurance. If you have already arranged insurance elsewhere, please ensure that you are covered on your policy for any optional activities you may wish to join. If you plan on doing any activities which may not be covered, please purchase additional insurance.
At the start of your tour you will be asked to present your original policy document and complete an insurance information form. We recommend that you have a photocopy of this document, which you keep separate from the original.
Please note: you will not be permitted to join a Vietnam Pathfinder Tour without travel insurance.

We advise that all passengers bring along their own personal first aid kit. Below is a list of some recommended items:
Band Aids/Bandages, Laxatives, Upset stomach remedy, Anti-diarrhoea remedy, Panadol/Aspirin, Rehydration remedy, Antiseptic cream/powder, Sterile dressing, Any relevant course of medication such as contraceptive pills.
A complete Travellers Medical Pack can be purchased for approximately US$25 at most Vaccination Centres, Chemists and outdoor travel shops.
