Adventure The Fansipan

Highlights:
Fansipan is a mountain in Vietnam, the highest in Indochina, at 3 143 m. It is located in the Lào Cai province in Northwest Vietnam. Fansipan mountain is dubbed "the Roof of Indochina"; it is to be approved as one of the very few ecotourist spots of Vietnam, with about 2,024 floral varieties and 327 faunal species.

DETAILED ITINERARY:
DAY1: HANOI-SAPA
Transfer to the train station in Hanoi for your overnight train to Sapa, the Train leaves at 22.00 PM tonight.
DAY2: SAPA CLIMBS -ALTITUDE OF 2000M
Early this morning the train arrives Laocai, Transfer to Sapa town, Check in your Hotel for fresh up and having breakfast, Next is transfered by jeep car down to the Cat Cat Village and start our guided trekking and climbing, you will cross a river and from here it is uphill on narrow trails and through small spectacular passes with a subtropical forest. Be aware of leeches on the first part of the trek. We will set up our camp at an altitude of around 2.000 m. and our guide and porters will prepare the food on an open fire. (L, D)
DAY3: HIGHER ALTITUDE OF 2700M
This day the trail becomes steeper and sometimes you will have to climb a bit by using the roots of the trees. You will walk through dense trails with bamboo. Today you will walk 6-8 hours. At the altitude of around 2.700 m. we will set up camp. (B, L, D).
DAY4: AT THE PEAK OF FANSIPAN MT
After breakfast we will continue uphill and after a couple of hours walk we reach a top (2.900 m) from where there is a nice view of Sapa and Fansipan. From here it is downhill to the camp in 2.600 m. We leave some of the porters to prepare the camp and continue up on trails through dense bamboo forest and small bushes. Suddenly we arrive to the top of Fansipan (3.143 m). If the weather is clear you can see all the way to China in the North and West and Lao in the South. The view is fantastic. From here it is straight back down to camp.(B, L, D).
DAY5: CLIMB DOWN
Today we will walk the same way back as we came up the mountain and will arrive to Sapa in the afternoon. Transfer back to Lao Cai for the night train to Hanoi. (B/L)
DAY6: ARRIVAL HANOI
Pick up at the train station of Le Duan, next is transferred to your hotel for check in, end of services.

+ The Victoria Express Train will be used for people are stayed in Victoria Hotel in Sapa Only
+ The first day will mostly be spent on the dirt road. This trip will easily combine with the transfer to Lao Cai railway station without repeating the way or passing by Sapa.

If you have already arranged insurance elsewhere, please ensure that you are covered on your policy for any optional activities you may wish to join. If you plan on doing any activities which may not be covered, please purchase additional insurance.
At the start of your tour you will be asked to present your original policy document and complete an insurance information form. We recommend that you have a photocopy of this document, which you keep separate from the original.
Please note: you will not be permitted to join a Vietnam Pathfinder Tour without travel insurance.

We advise that all passengers bring along their own personal first aid kit. Below is a list of some recommended items:
Band Aids/Bandages, Laxatives, Upset stomach remedy, Anti-diarrhoea remedy, Panadol/Aspirin, Rehydration remedy, Antiseptic cream/powder, Sterile dressing, Any relevant course of medication such as contraceptive pills.
A complete Travellers Medical Pack can be purchased for approximately US$25 at most Vaccination Centres, Chemists and outdoor travel shops.
