DETAILED ITINERARY:

DAY1: HANOI-LAOCAI (BY OVERNIGHT TRAIN) 

Transfer to the train station in Hanoi for your overnight train to Sapa, the Train leaves at 22.00 PM tonight.

DAY2: LAOCAI-BACHA (SUNDAY MARKET) 

Early this morning the train arrives Laocai, Transfer to Bac Ha town. It is about 60km from Laocai.On arrival Bac Ha, we spend time going around the market (3hours), Bac Ha is the Lao Cai’s biggest mountainous market where there are various colorful hill tribes gathering here on every Sunday. This market is place not only for buying or selling but also meeting, drinking, eating together and finding a partner. In the afternoon, we can walk to Ban Pho village where is home of Variegated Hmong people. O/N Hotel in BAC Ha.  - Trekking distance: 5km. (B, L, D)

DAY3: BACHA-NAM MON 

After Breakfast, start our trip at 9:30 am and trek on the small path to Nam Mon where Variegated Hmong and Tay ethnic people live. It is about 5 hour trek (20km).Visiting the village we can understand a little more about their traditional cloth making and lifestyle. After that we will be guests welcomed by a Tay family and their great hospitality and especially homemade rice wine at dinner. Home-Stay in Tay’s Hut.  (L, D).

- Trekking distance: 18 km.
 
DAY4: NAM MON-COCLY (TUESDAY MARKET) - SAPA 

Next day we leave Nam Mon at 8am for Trung Do village. This is also residential area of Tay ethnic group. It takes us one hour to walk through the village to the Chay River. Then we go by boat on Chay River for two hours. On arrival at Coc Ly market, we can go around to see and take pictures. Getting in our car, we go to Lao Cai city for two hours and have lunch there. In the afternoon a driver takes us to Sapa resort in one hour. There, we can discover Sapa by going for a walk around to see the Sapa market and to go shopping. O/N hotel in Sapa Town (B, L).

- Trekking distance: 3 km.
 
 DAY5: SAPA-Y LINH HO-LAOCAI-TAVAN VILLAGE TREKS 

Heading out of the Sapa town, we trek into dramatic mountain area with spectacular views off the beaten track and down to Y linh ho on up - down trail surrounded by terraced rice fields. This is the place where Black H’mong ethnic people live. We stop to have a picnic lunch after a two hour trek (9km).Then; it takes us one hour to trek to Lao Chai village where there is Black H’mong people also. Trekking through this village, we can see how the Black H’mong to weave and dye their traditional cloth (hemp plant for silk thread and indigo plant for color).And then we spend one hour also walking to TaVan village where there is the life of Zay colorful ethnic group. After being welcomed by a Zay family we can swim in the river near the village. Home-Stay in Dzay’s Hut.

- Trekking distance: 3 km.
 
DAY6: TAVAN-GIANG TA CHAI-BAN HO VILLAGE TREKS 

Setting off from TaVan at 9am for Giang Ta Chai, another ethnic group, Red Dao we trek up and down on the trail in the bamboo forest and down to waterfall and Rathan Bridge at 10am. Keep trekking on small path we can see nice views in the distance. One special thing on this trail is that this area receives fewer tourists this way. After that, continue trekking down through the Seo Bridge and up to the main road at 1 PM and we have picnic lunch there in Red Dao family. After lunch at 2 PM we walk on the main road for 10 minutes and trek down to Ban Ho village, a Tay colorful ethnic group. On the way down to Ban Ho, we can take photos of houses and hills intermixing together in distance. You arrive at Ban Ho village at 4.30pm (swim in the river).Home-Stay on Bamboo’s House. (B, L, D).

- Trekking distance: 20 km. 
 
 DAY7: BAN HO-NAM TONG-NAM KEN-MYSON-THANH PHU VILLAGE TREKS 

Leaving Ban Ho village at 9am, we trek for one hour up to Nam Tong village where is home of Red Dao minority people. Going around the village for half an hour, we trek to Nam Ken village about one hour and we have picnic lunch there near the stream. Next, it takes us 1h 15’ to trek into My Son village where Xa pho minority people settle and one hour to trek up to hills to Thanh Phu village, Tay ethnic group. On the way you can take photos and enjoy the natural setting. We arrive at Thanh Phu at 4 PM. Home-Stay on Bamboo’s House.  (B, L, D).

- Trekking distance: 25 km.
 
DAY8: THANH PHU-BAN HO-SAPA-LAOCAI 

Leaving From Thanh Phu for Ban Ho village  this morning. On the way back to Ban Ho, we can spend time relaxing on the band of the river and then we keep trekking through Ban Ho up to Ban Den village at 1pm. We have one hour for picnic lunch and driver takes us back to Sapa. We arrive in Sapa at 3 PM. Having leisure time and a shower, we leave for Lao Cai railway station at 6pm. Having dinner at 7 PM you get on the 9.15 PM train back to Hanoi. O/N on train (L, D).

- Trekking distance: 3 km
 
DAY9: ARRIVAL HANOI

Pick up at the train station of Le Duan, next is transferred to your hotel for check in, end of services.

+ The Victoria Express Train will be used for people are stayed in Victoria Hotel in Sapa Only
+ Surcharge for Victoria (2ways) with 4berths cabin = 150$/ per person
+ The first day will mostly be spent on the dirt road. This trip will easily combine with the transfer to Lao Cai railway station without repeating the way or passing by Sapa.

At the start of your tour you will be asked to present your original policy document and complete an insurance information form. We recommend that you have a photocopy of this document, which you keep separate from the original.

We advise that all passengers bring along their own personal first aid kit. Below is a list of some recommended items:
Band Aids/Bandages, Laxatives, Upset stomach remedy, Anti-diarrhoea remedy, Panadol/Aspirin, Rehydration remedy, Antiseptic cream/powder, Sterile dressing, Any relevant course of medication such as contraceptive pills.
A complete Travellers Medical Pack can be purchased for approximately US$25 at most Vaccination Centres, Chemists and outdoor travel shops.
