Tour Highlights:
 Ba Bê Lake (Vietnamese: Ho Ba Bê, Ba Bê meaning "Three Lakes" in the local Tay language) is the largest natural fresh water lake, stretching about 8 kilometers in the north-south direction. The surface area of the lake fluctuates between 3 and 5 km² between dry and wet season. Unlike many lakes in Karst limestone areas, Ba Bê Lake never falls dry. Its average depth varies between 17 and 23 meters, the maximum depth is 35 meters. The lake lies about 150 meters above sea level, making it also Vietnam’s highest. The name "Three Lakes" refers to the three parts of the lake named Pe Leng, Pe Lu, and Pe Lam. All these three parts are connected into a single continuous body of water

 DETAILED ITNERARY:

DAY1: HANOI-BABE NATIONAL PARK
Start our guided tour from Hanoi and driving to the north east towards Ba Be Lake. This drive of 270 km, which will take approximately seven hours, takes us through the flatlands of the Red River Delta and up into the mountain areas north of Hanoi. As we progress north, the scenery becomes more and more picturesque. From our scheduled lunch stop it is only around two and a-half-hours to our destination. Arriving in Ba Be town by mid afternoon we will check into our guest house and then head out for a bit of exploration before the sun sets.(L/D)

DAY2: BABE NATIONAL PARK CRUISES
After breakfast and transfer to the jetty where we board our private boat for a cruise on the lake to visit the Bat Caves, Dong Dang waterfall and if the  Weather permitting we can have a swim in crystal clear waters before having lunch. Following lunch we board our boat to the Tay village of Pac Ngoi. A visit to this small hamlet will enable us to witness how little the lives of the people in these remote areas have changed. We will be the guests of the Tay people tonight.(B/L/D)

DAY3: BABE- HANOI
This morning we will commence our return journey to Hanoi. En route we will make a stop at the interesting Thai Nguyen Ethnology Museum. Arrival back into Hanoi will be approximately mid afternoon.(B)
