Pham Luc Artist
Pham Luc was born in 1943 in Hue City. During his 35 years in the army, his luggage including painting bad followed him all through the war to the South, North, Laos, Kampuchea. He never stopped painting even a moment during that time. He painted to live, he likes the flowing, shining of oil paint. In the “very Pham Luc” colour world, the painting lovers can easily find their common interests and general expression: cold silver, warm brown. He painted without tiredness by his intuition as if he wanted to come to everyone immediately. Therefore in exhibitions, galleries and his house at 30 Nghi Tam are always crowded with friends and painting lovers.
Graduated from Hanoi University of Fine Art and Industry in 1977, Pham Luc participated in many local and international exhibition (former Soviet Union, Japan, German, French, US, Italy, Poland, Czechoslovakia). He won the prize of the Ministry of National Defense in 1990. His paintings are displayed in Art Galleries and individual collections in many countries. He is always willing to teach children, to paint for souvenir to his friends, to sell paintings for charity contributing to sentimental funds... All are dedicated to the brain and heart of “artist – soldier”.
