DAY 1: ARRIVAL HANOI, VIETNAM
Pick you up on arrival and transfer to the hotel, check in and free time at leisure on your own of exploration the city. Overnight Hanoi
DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR
At 9.00 AM, pick you up the hotel, our city tour including visit Hochiminh President Complex (Hochiminh Mausoleum, the house on stilts, presidential palace, the One Pillar Pagoda). Visiting this site, you will understand more about the life of President Ho, a great leader, Hero of national liberation and a great man of world culture. Our next stop is the Temple of literature, which is built in 1070 and it is the first university of Vietnam. Before having lunch, we visit the Army museum where different kinds of US, Russian aircraft and tanks from Vietnam-US wars are on display.
Your lunch will be served at one of the best local restaurants with special of Hanoi cuisine. After lunch, continue our visit to Hoa Lo or Hanoi hilton prison where all US pilots was captured during the bombing years to the north Vietnam from 1964-1972. Next, you will enjoy one hour of Cycling trip for sightseeing Hanoi old quarters. Taking this mean of transportation is the best way to have a close look at the 36 streets in Hanoi. At late afternoon, we will see the water puppet show and have dinner at top local restaurant in town. Overnight Hanoi (B/L/D)
DAY 3: HANOI- HALONG BAY
This morning, we will check out the hotel and depart for Halong bay, some 165 km away from Hanoi. Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong and board the Huong Hai or Bai Tho traditional sailing junk. Whilst cruise the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. Visit the recently discovered Surprise Grotto with its great views, and on the next island see the yawning mouth of Bo Nau Cave. Alternatively journey to Dau Go Cave and nearby see the famous stalagmites and stalactites of Thien Cung Cave. Enjoy a swim in the emerald waters of Halong Bay at any spot that you wish to visit. Watch the sun set over the bay whilst enjoying a delicious dinner. Overnight on board junk.(B/L/D)
DAY 4: HALONG BAY- HANOI
Wake up to fresh coffee and a wholesome breakfast before cruising back to Halong City. En route the junk weaves through strange-shaped rock formations that invite comparisons from fighting cocks to dragons and even General de Gaulle’s nose! After another wonderful fresh seafood lunch on board disembark at the dock at Halong City. Transfer back to Hanoi by road and will be back Hanoi at early this afternoon, on arrival check in hotel and free on your own at leisure.(B/L)
DAY 5: HANOI – HUE ANCIENT CITY/ Fly
Have breakfast in the hotel before transferring back the Noi Bai airport for your flying to Hue at central Vietnam, the flight takes for 1hour.
On arrival Phu Bai airport of Hue, meet with our local guide and driver to transfer to the hotel for check in and fresh up.
This afternoon, at 02.00 Pm, we will take a short walk to the Bai Da Dock, from here will start our Dragon cruises down to visit the heavenly Lady Pagoda, the most famous ones in Hue City.
Tour ends, we will transfer back the hotel for relaxing time. Overnight in Hue. (B)
DAY 6: HUE CITY TOUR
Hue was once the capital of the Nguyen Dynasty of Emperors from 1802-1945. There are many mausoleums to visit as well as the fascinating Dong Ba market, famous for selling the best conical hats in Vietnam.
This morning, we will start our sightseeing tour in hue including to visit the Imperial Citadel and the King tombs of Minh Mang and Khai Dinh,
This afternoon you will be free on your own of exploration the city of go shopping. Dinner in town is on your own too. Overnight in hotel in Hue (B/L/D)
DAY 7: HUE – HOI AN
Drive from Hue for two and half hours to Danang, we will pass the fishing village of Lang co before ascending the scenic Hai van pass (cloudy pass) where a spectacular panorama of the center coastline can be viewed at the summit, upon arrival in Da Nang visit Cham museum, one of the 5 oldest museums in The ASIA, containing the finest collection of Cham sculptures and visit marble mountains before continuing to hoi an ancient town.
Check in the hotel on arrival and free time for shopping and dinner on your own. Overnight in Hoi An.(B/L)
DAY 8: HOI AN WALKING TOUR
Hoi An was a thriving international commercial port for Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Arab traders. These people came primarily to trade in the high grade silk, which is still produced in the area, as well as ceramics. A morning walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the Ancient Quarter visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200 - year old, Tam Ky ancestral house, and the Japanese Bridge, free at this afternoon.(B/L)
DAY 9: HOI AN-DANANG- SAIGON/ Fly
After breakfast, Free at leisure and next will be transferred to the airport for flight to Saigon. Saigon – Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnam’s biggest city, also called the Economic Capital. Today, the city’s core is still adorned with wide elegant boulevards and historic French colonial buildings, so much so that Saigon was called “the Pearl of the Far East” (Hon Ngoc Vien Dong) or “Paris in the Orient” (Paris Phuong Đong).
Free time to visit Saigon. Overnight in hotel in Saigon.(B)
DAY 10: SAIGON- CUCHI TUNNELS
This morning, we will depart for cu chi tunnels. By 1965, 250 km of tunnels criss-crossed Cu Chi and surrounding areas -just across the Saigon River was the notorious guerrilla power base known as the IRON TRIANGLE. The Cu Chi tunnels played a vital part in the American war in that they allowed the Viet Cong to control a large rural area only 30 to 40 km from Saigon. At its height, the tunnel system stretched from Saigon to the Cambodian border. The network, parts of which were several levels deep, included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centres and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and feel of what underground life in the American War must have been like. The tunnels have been widened for our benefit (otherwise we would not be able to enter them!) For those interested there’s even the opportunity to fire off rounds from an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby rifle range. ! Return back to Saigon for lunch, next will be visiting the Reunification Palace, war Museum, China Town and Notre Dame Cathedral. At early this afternoon, tour will be finished at your hotel at 5.00 PM. (B/L)
DAY 11: HO CHI MINH CITY – MEKONG DELTA
After breakfast, set out an excursion to My tho in the Mekong delta, enjoy a 2 hours scenic drive passing paddy fields and tributaries, on a arrival, board our private motorized boat for a river cruise on the upper part of the Mekong river for a taste of agriculture life on the mighty Mekong river.
Disembark the boat strolling around the colorful my tho wholesale fruit market to enjoy the bustle local daily life.
Continue your ride upstream stopping en route at a boat building family factory and at thoi son 5 islands, walk through the lush orchards with tropical fruits, opportunity to taste diverse types of Mekong delta fruit while enjoying traditional music. Shuttle back to the pier and enjoy lunch with Mekong delta specialties at Ngoc Gia Trang restaurant.
Drive back to Saigon at late afternoon. Overnight in Saigon (B/L)
DAY 12: SAIGON- SIEMREAP/ FLY
Upon arrival in Siem Reap airport, transfer to hotel for check in.
PM: Visit to Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool (representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake), Ta Som, built in late 12th century C.E. the most distant temple on the grand circuit, small but classic. Preah Khan temple, Built by the King Jayavarman VII. Preah Khan is, like Ta Prohm, a place of towered enclosures and shoulder hugging corridors. Unlike Ta Prohm, however, the temple of Preah Khan is in a reasonable state of preservation and ongoing restoration efforts should maintain and even improve this situation. AM: Visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom (12 century) : the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Lunch not included
PM: Visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. DAY 14: SIEMREAP DEPARTURE
Breakfast at the hotel ,We board on boat in Tonle Sap Lake. Here, enjoy a brief cruise past floating villages complete with schools, restaurants, and hospitals.
