DAY 1: ARRIVAL HANOI
Pick you up at Noi Bai airport on arrival, transfer to Hanoi for check in Hotel and free time on your own of exploration the city. This afternoon, our guide will pick up and start the walking tour to explore old quarter of Hanoi before taking one more hour with the rickshaw ride through many other narrow streets of the old quarter and shopping area. next will be dinner, transfer the hotel and Overnight in Hanoi (D)
DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR 1DAY- SAPA MOUNTAINS
Pick you up the hotel, our city tour including visit Hochiminh President Complex (Hochiminh Mausoleum, the house on stilts, presidential palace, the One Pillar Pagoda).Our next stop is the Temple of literature, which is built in 1070 and it is the first university of Vietnam. Before having lunch, we visit the fine art museum where different kinds of paintings of famous artists are on display. Your lunch will be served at one of the best local restaurants with special of Hanoi cuisine. After lunch, continue our visit to Museum of Ethnology, which exhibits the traditional culture of 54 ethnic minorities in Vietnam. next will be the Army Museum where all types of weapons were used during Vietnam Wars again the French and US army. tour ends, free time for shopping in old quarter before transfer you to local restaurant for dinner (your own account). Tonight, we will take night train for Sapa mountains, the train depart at 9.45 pm. Overnight on trains (B/L)
DAY 3: SAPA VILLAGE -SIGHTSEEING TOURS
Arrive in the early morning at Lao Cai station, near the Chinese border, take a scenic drive to the hill station of Sapa, enjoy the spectacular views of rice –terraced mountains and black H’mong and red Dao hill tribe people dressed in their colorful wares walking along the roadside. On arrival, check in hotel and have breakfast (your own account). This afternoon we will start to hike down slope from the main road in Cat cat to visit black H’mong village, continue to hike from Cat cat to sinchai village (return treks some 6km and takes over 3 hours) before returning back to Sapa town. Overnight in hotel in Sapa.(D)
DAY 4: SAPA-LAO CAI- HANOI/ Night Train
After having breakfast in a hotel we embark on a lovely trek that will take us along buffalo paths and trails and through several hill tribe villages Lao Chai & Ta Van, home to Black H’mong, and Day people. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can meet. Once on the valley floor you can really appreciate the wonderful scenery that surrounds you. The walls of the valley are covered with multi-layered rice terraced fields and scattered villages. Back to hotel in Sapa for fresh up and check out the hotel.
This later afternoon, our guide and driver will be back to transfer back Lao cai city for taking night train and also have dinner at a local restaurant that near the train station, the train leave at 9.15 Pm. Overnight on Train (B/D)
DAY 5: ARRIVAL HANOI- HALONG BAY
On arrival Hanoi train station early this morning, pick up at Le Duan Train station and drive for Halong city, some 165 km away (3 and half hours drive) and Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo and everyday Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong and board the Huong Hai or Bai Tho traditional sailing junk. Whilst cruise the exquisite waters sample the regions fresh seafood. Visit the recently discovered Surprise Grotto with its great views, and on the next island see the yawning mouth of Bo Nau Cave. Alternatively journey to Dau Go Cave and nearby see the famous stalagmites and stalactites of Thien Cung Cave. Enjoy a swim in the emerald waters of Halong Bay at any spot that you wish to visit. Watch the sun set over the bay whilst enjoying a delicious dinner. Overnight on board junk.(L/D)
DAY 6: HALONG BAY- HANOI AIRPORT- DEPARTURE
Wake up to fresh coffee and a wholesome breakfast before cruising back to Halong City. En route the junk weaves through strange-shaped rock formations that invite comparisons from fighting cocks to dragons and even General de Gaulle’s nose! After another wonderful fresh seafood lunch on board disembark at the dock at Halong City. Transfer back to Hanoi airport by road (some 170km) and tour ends at airport (B/L)
