We are a local bus rental company in Can tho of Mekong delta Vietnam and provide private van of 16 seats for transfer from Saigon-Hochiminh (airport/ city) to Can Tho city of  Mekong delta and return of 3days 2nights trip.

Travel schedules (suggestion):

Day1: pick up at your hotel in Saigon and driver for Can tho city, some 170 km and takes for 3 and half hours driving/ one way,  there can stop over at Cai Be for cruise trip to visit some local islands before continue the trip to Can tho city.
Drop off your hotel on arrival (no transfer for dinner, surcharge is applied upon request = 20$/ one transfer of 2 ways. Hotel-Rest-Hotel)

Day2: Transfer to Ninh Kieu Dock for your cruise trip to visit the Cai Rang floating Market- meet back and transfer to visit the Bang Lang stork Garden or Binh thuy ancient house

Day3: Free time and meet back our van and driver, drive back the same way, stop over at any points along the way back, transfer back your hotel in Saigon. car rental ends at 05.00 Pm

1, Cai Rang Floating Market 

Cai Rang market is one of the three biggest markets (Cai Be, Phung Hiep, Cai Rang) in the Mekong Delta. Visiting Cai Rang Market, you will have chance to experience a special type of market in which all purchasing activities take place on boats and ships. The shops and stalls at the market are boats of different sizes. You can visit the market at any time of the day but it is most crowded and busy from sunrise to 9:00 am.

The main items sold there are farm products and specialties of Cai Rang Town, Chau Thanh District and neighboring areas. Every boat has a long upright pole at its bow on which samples of the goods for sale are hung on. When purchasing, you do not need to cry out loud about the goods they want to buy because their goods can be seen in a distance and their cries would not be heard in the vastness of the river and the noise of boat engines.

There are small boats selling beer, soft drinks and wine going among the other boats to serve market-goers and visitors. It’s interesting to enjoy drinking on boats there. The most common goods sold at Cai Rang Market are fruits. Big boats are the wholesalers, selling fruits to dealers from neighboring provinces. Each boat is loaded with plenty of seasonal goods.

Visiting Cai Rang, tourists have chance to understand more about local cultural features of southerners. On the way to Can Tho, visitors can stop to visit My Tho and take a boat trip to the orchards, bee farms and coconut candy establishments in Ben Tre. Visitors can also explore Can Tho on their own by taking a coach. In Can Tho, besides Cai Rang Floating Market, tourists can also visit other places such as Can Tho Market, Ninh Kieu Quay, Binh Thuy Temple, and private tourist gardens. In these gardens, you can walk around, enjoy the fresh air, and experience different kinds of fruits and countryside specialties and stay at nice guest houses in the shade of trees.

2, Bang Lang Stork Garden

Bang Lang Stork Garden lies within the area of Binh Thoi hamlet, Thoi Thuan commune, Thot Not district, Can Tho city. Upon passing the north of Vam Cong, from Lo Te intersection, visitors go along the No. 80 Highway for about 80km before reaching a small canal named Bang Lang. Then you will continue to go through a bridge which is also named Bang Lang. There is around 1 km away from the main road to Bang Lang Stork Garden. On the way to the garden, visitors will pass green rice paddies and interlacing canals.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thuyen, who is often referred to as Mr. Bay Co, is the owner of Bang Lang Stork Garden. As he said, the garden was spontaneously established since 1983. It is strange that a large number of storks choose to make their home at the garden of Mr. Bay Co. At first, there were very few of them stay there. Then Mr. Bay has created good conditions so as the storks can live at his garden. Since then, Bang Lang garden has gradually been expanded with the current area of 12.500 m2 and the number of storks ranges from 100.000 – 150.000 of more than 20 species of stork.

Through many years living and watching the storks, Mr. Bay now has practical knowledge about the storks. Bang Lang Stork garden is regarded as the most special type of bird garden of the country. Visitors will be able to observe the whole stork garden at the height of 8 meters after passing through the two rainbow-shaped gates made from bamboos.

There are various species of storks living at Bang Lang stork garden including Cattle Egret, ibis, striated heron, painted stork, etc. Besides, there are other species which are not belong to species of storks making their home at Bang Lang Garden such as black-crowned night heron, little cormorant, greater coucal, heron, etc.

The most crowded type of storks is the white cattle egret which takes up 80% the total storks in the garden. This specie of storks often builds their nests at the garden from March to August of lunar year.

The main foods of them are fishes, shellfishes, tiny shrimps, locusts, insects, etc. They often fly away to find food in the early morning and come back in the late afternoon. Storks often go in couples to find foods; sometimes, they go in flock. They have to find foods all year round; however, in dry season, Mr. Bay has to offer extra food for them.

Presently, along with the development of Can Tho City, Bang Lang stork garden has more conditions to become an attractive ecological tourist attraction by the side of Hau River.
